Coventry Sphinx beat local rivals Atherstone Town 2-0 in a Midland Alliance fixture this afternoon.
Kyle Rhodes fired Sphinx ahead in the 53rd minute before adding a second in the 82nd to give Danny McSheffrey's side a great win.
Sphinx, who travel to Coleshill Town on Boxing Day (2pm kick off), lead the table by three points, having 44 points from their 23 games.
Second placed Westfields beat Heather St John 3-1 and are three points behind, with Stratford Town 13th and Atherstone Town 19th.
