Sphinx Held To A Draw

Coventry Sphinx were held to a 1-1 draw this afternoon by Bridgnorth Town in a Midland Alliance fixture.

Sphinx had their striker Pawel Tomczak taken to hospital with a shoulder injury after only seven minutes of this game at Sphinx Drive.

In the 38th minute, Sphinx took the lead when Jack Edwards rose to head home a free kick. However in the 56th minute, Bridgnorth earned a point when Ryan Guryn levelled.

However, Sphinx stay top of the Midland Alliance table after Westfields were beaten 2-1 at home by Tividale
