A sixteenth minute goal from Matty Bannister had given Luke Hopkins side a 1-0 victory against Walsall Wood on Monday night and seen them move to fourth but wins for Shepshed (4-0 at home to Kirby Muxloe), Quorn who beat Heather St Johns 2-1, Dunkirk beat Loughborough University 3-1 and Highgate United who won 2-0 at Westfields, dropped Sphinx down to eight in the Midland Alliance table.
Tividale stay top after a 2-0 win at Heath Hayes whilst second placed AFC Wulfrunians beat Boldmere St Michaels 4-2 and third placed Alvechurch beat Stourport 2-0.
Other results saw Causeway United beat Tipton 2-1 and Rocester win 3-2 at Gornal.
Sphinx's attendance of 156 was the biggest in the midweek fixtures.
