Southend Trip For Coventry City Next Season

Coventry City will face a trip to Southend United next season.

Southend won the League Two Play-Off Final 7-6 on penalties beating Wycombe Wanderers after the score was 1-1 at extra time at Wembley Stadium in front of a crowd of 38.252.

There were no goals in ninety plus minutes but in in the fourth minute of the first period of extra time, Joe Jacobsen scored with a free kick which hit the bar and went in off the Southend keeper Dan Bentley.

In the the two minutes of time added on, Piggott equalised with a left footed shot low into the net from inside the area and the game went to penalties, which Southend won 7-6.
