The South Stand (away end) is expected to be closed tonight for the New Zealand versus Cameron Women's match in the London 2012 Olympic Football Tournament.

Laurence Archer, LOCOG's media manager in Coventry has told the CT that sales for tonight's game are well below those sold for the games which took place on Sunday.

He also said that only 150 VIP tickets were available and that any sponsors tickets not purchased were being allocated for general sale.

There had been calls by some in the city, for more tickets to be made available to schools and colleges. However, Mr Archer said that thousands of free tickets had already been made available to schools and colleges and with the school holidays, it was difficult to allocate more tickets.

Mr Archer also pointed out that it was unfair on those who had paid the full price for tickets to drop the price of match tickets.
