The owners and Yes ! even Steven Pressley should be ashamed at this lamentable situation
We started off the season with the a squad that contained some of the most lamentable squad players since the early 1960’s (pre Jimmy Hill) – Pressley was given a list of the cheapest options for season 2014/15. With one or two exceptions the squad has performed as most of us would have expected.
So where do we go from here – gates floundering around the 7-8,000 mark – expect them to fall to an even lower level of 6,000?
The youth squad is excellent - 3 or 4 players are pushing forward into the First Team.
But ……………………………………………we know now that our owners have given up funding anything above ‘Keeping our heads above water ‘ They will also sell a valuable asset at the end of each season =- the wage levels are manageable + the income from other areas will keep their heads above water… just is what those who have supported our club for 30, 40, 50 and yes some of is 60 years have been left with. Owners are no longer interested in the future – it is about balancing the books (their books!)
it is time to take action against these shysters. I will not attend anymore matches after the 31st December 2014 unless I can see any improvement in the owners support for CCFC.
