Snipers Blog

Thanks to Kev Monks and his Covsupport team for giving me the opportunity to say a few things about the Sky Blues.

Kev is a City supporting legend. You might not always agree with what he says all the time but you have got to be impressed with his support for the club.

Away Reserve and Youth games as well as all the first team games then he reports on the lot.

His web sites are always up to date and provide good information for us out of towners and I hear he even helps out the Sky Blue Trust with their comms.

I know he gives the club a lot of help and I hope they continue to appreciate all his efforts as I and everyone else do.

The day we lose supporters like Kev Monks,we might as well close the club. Although knowing Kev,he'd be the first one to start up a new one!!

I didn't get carried away with the euphoria of Ray Ranson taking over. You do have to wonder why so many clubs turned him down and why he came here and would you really trust someone who wanted to buy Villa as a person of sound business judgement?

I reckon he's a chancer who just wants a football club to pose about with before flogging it at the first sign of trouble at a fat profit.

His appeal in the Cov Evening Telegraph article for shareholders to hand all over their shares, doesn't fiill me with hope that we have not been stitched up by Robinson and the rest of the board who I bet have done very well out of the deal.

Now unlike, those on message boards like the Telegraph one and GMK, I don't comment on things I know nothing about especially as I'm not a shareholder. But if the shares are so worthless, why he is creating such a fuss about getting 90% before he will properly take over?

It doesn't take an expert to smell a rat here. Get rid of the shareholders and the Bond Holders and there is no-one to answer to.

If they do want the City support onside then they should keep Joe Elliott on the board for some creditability.

Remind me not to go to Blackpool again. What a dump. That away end was a disgrace, you could not get a pint at half time after wading through the mud and I was fleeced £3.50 for a programme.

I'd gone by the time of the fourth goal,I was that p*ssed off. Even if Kevin Kyle had not got sent off,we never looked like winning.

I've seen some bad performances in my time and this will go down as one of the worst.

I hope 2008 turns out a lot better than 2007 was.

Play Up Sky Blues
