Slade; Our Next Step Is To Get Off The Bottom

Coventry City manager Russell Slade has said that the next step for the Sky Blues is to get off the bottom of the table.

Chesterfield in 23rd place are three points away and Slade is trying to use little blocks in order to pull off a big escape.

“To get that win is a little bit of a weight off individual shoulders, we need to focus on backing that up, " Slade told Billie Marshall.

“We’ve worked on getting as many players back in to contention as we can, and work on both ends of the pitch. It is another tough league game, slightly different style of play with Swindon.

“It is about small steps, and our next step is to get off the bottom of the table. I have broken it down in to smaller blocks than that.

“Swindon try to play between you and have threats going forward, Ajose who I know about, Gladwin from QPR, and Rohan Ince on loan from Brighton with Colkett in midfield. Thompson I like, good solid player.”
