Slade: I Feel The Supporters Disappointment

Coventry City manager Russell Slade has said that he feels the disappointment that City supporters have.

In a statement, clearly trying to buy time and appease the City support, some of whom were offering to call him a taxi during the 2-1 defeat at Bury on Tuesday, Slade told Laura Hunter: “Obviously there is an air of disappointment, however they are working at it on a daily basis. We remain a fighting force.

“The fans, over a number of years, have been disillusioned and it must be frustrating for them. I feel that disappointment, I see that every day. I’m working exceptionally hard to try and turn things around for the football club, that is my job, that is my responsibility.

“You can’t do it overnight. You can’t rebuild in a short space of time. It can be done, but you need the tools to achieve that. And that goes throughout the football club, there needs to be a stringent review at the end of the season.”
