Coventry City are up to fourth in the Championship table after the 1-0 win at Sheffield United.

The Championship table is headed by Cardiff for whom former Sky Blue Jay Bothroyd scored in a 3-1 win against fifth placed Norwich City. The Welshmen took the lead at the top of the table after Coventry kid Graham Alexander scored an equaliser for Burnley at Queens Park Rangers who are now second.

Coventry were briefly third but Swansea's 3-0 win at bottom side Crystal Palace sent them above the Sky Blues.

Reading are sixth following a late 4-3 win against Doncaster Rovers with former City loanee Matty Mills scoring for Reading against his former club.

Tony Mowbray's first game in charge of Middlesbrough ended in a 2-1 home defeat to Bristol City.

There were wins for Derby, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Leicester and Leeds whilst Barnsley drew with Hull.
