Sky Blues To Train At Bedworth?

Coventry City could find themselves training at Bedworth United whilst they find a new training ground.

Having already sold the pitches at Ryton to a builder who wants to put houses on the site of City's training ground since the late 1960's,the Sky Blues have had to close the lodge in order to cut costs.

As already reported,City are looking for host families to house the academy players and will have to find a new base for the first team to train as there is not enough room at the Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way for all three teams.

City Chairman Mike McGinnity stated last year when the story broke, that he wanted a base for the players nearer the Arena and The Oval which is around three miles from the Arena may provide a solution.

A source told Covsupport that Bedworth had done a lot of work on their pitch and would be happy to speak to the Sky Blues on the matter.
