Sky Blues Say Thanks

Coventry City have issued a statement thanking club and Ricoh Arena staff as well as all the City supporters who made huge efforts to get to see City's 3-1 victory against Barnsley.

The statement is as follows: COVENTRY City Football Club would like to extend their appreciation to fans and club and Ricoh Arena staff for the massive efforts following today's win over Barnsley.

"We know you have all made massive efforts to support the Sky Blues through the snow and sub-zero temperatures and we would like to know we hugely appreciate your fantastic support.

"The Ricoh Arena would also like to highlight their immense pride for some incredible people who pulled out all the stops to make sure today's game went ahead.

"These people are Anthony Mundy, Vaughan Pollard, Arthur Barrett and his stewarding team, Terry Bates and his team, Alan Pickering, Brian Kavanagh, John Ledwidge and their respective teams.

"It is down to these people that we were one of the few stadiums open for business throughout the Premier League and Football League.
