Coventry City are back in the top ten of the Championship table after their 1-0 home victory against Burnley this afternoon.
Michael Doyle's 25 yarder gave City three points which takes them to 27 points from 18 matches and it is only goal difference which is stopping the Sky Blues from being in sixth place.
That sixth place belongs to Nottingham Forest who won 2-0 at pre-game leaders Cardiff City. That result means that QPR now head the division following their 3-1 home victory over Preston North End.
Swansea stay third after snatching a stoppage time 1-1 draw at Doncaster, whilst fourth are Derby who beat Coventry City's next opponents Scunthorpe United 3-2 at Pride Park.
Leeds United are fifth are being held 1-1 at Norwich City. Former Coventry City loanee Leon Barnett equalised for the Canaries and was booked for his goal celebration.
At the bottom of the table, Preston are three points adrift of of Crystal Palace who lost 3-2 at Sheffield United. In the bottom three are Middlesbrough who have slipped in thanks to Jason Puncheon scoring on his Millwall debut and Bristol City beating Leicester City 2-0 at Ashton Gate.
Elsewhere, Barnsley beat Portsmouth 1-0, Hull City beat Ipswich 1-0, and Watford drew 1-1 with Reading.
In League One, former City loanee Jonnie Jackson scored twice for second place Charlton in a 3-2 win over Yeovil who had Adam Virgo booked.
Talking of loanees, City's record appearing loanee Richard Duffy hit the winner for Exeter City at Huddersfield Town.
Jermaine Grandison did not feature in Tranmere's 1-0 win at Notts County, Michael McIndoe played for 73 minutes of MK Dons 4-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday for whom Clinton Morrison played the whole game but didn't trouble the scorers and Robbie Simpson was a 79th minute substitute in Brentford's 2-1 win at Peter Reid's Plymouth. Stephen Wright was not selected.
Shaun Jeffers was an unused substitute in Cheltenham Town's 1-1 draw with Morecambe.
Leon McKenzie scored for Northampton but Liam Davis was sent off as the Cobblers lost 4-1 at Barnet.
