Sky Blue Trust March - Saturday 12th July

Last updated : 04 July 2014 By Covsupport News Service

Last year thousands of Sky Blue fans showed the world how much they loved their club and how they hated the moving of their team to Northampton - 12 months on and it appears the Sky Blues are kicking off at Sixfields yet again.

The Sky Blue Trust invites all Coventry City supporters and football fans in general to join this years march and shout, sing, jeer and chant to make sure that all those to blame for this deplorable state of affairs know how you feel.

They need to get us back to the Ricoh for next season - before its too late! The low numbers attending "home" matches has sent a message - now let's make that message heard so loudly that it cannot be ignored - Bring Our Team Home To Coventry!

Assemble on Gosford Green from 11.00 on Saturday 12th July. There will be local band Yes Sunshine playing, also food, drinks and ice creams will be available. There will even be a face painter for the kids (and the bigger kids!).

Lady Godiva will lead the procession starting off at 12.00 up Sky Blue Way, along Gosford St, Jordan Well, Earl St and into Broadgate.

For anyone who would like to be part of the march but feels they cannot walk all that way we have arranged for the Ricoh Bus to transport them (thanks to Coachleasing) - places are limited but if you want a free seat just email march@skybluetrust.co.uk with your requirements.

In Broadgate waiting to greet the march will be the iconic '87 Cup Final bus (thanks to Coventry Transport Museum). Here there will have some music from brilliant local artists Kirk Savage, Danny Ansell and The Deserts as well as some brief (hopefully very brief) speeches.

If you were on it last year you know what a brilliant day it was - if you missed it don't make the same mistake again!
Lets make our voices heard - loud, proud Sky Blue Army!
Tell all your friends, family and lets make it a day that those who can bring us home cannot ignore.

"We want to go home

 We want to go home
 Back to the Ricoh
 The Ricoh's our home"
