Sky Blue Trust AGM Report

Last updated : 11 July 2012 By Staying Put

There was a decent turnout at the Squirrel Pub in Coventry for the Sky Blue Trust AGM after a significant membership increase due to some good work by members recruiting in Coventry.

A new board of ten was chosen to give this newly restructured Trust some direction during these troubled times for our club.

Already, the Trust have spoken with Coventry Council & the Higgs trust about it's intentions and were encouraged by the support it received.

After the formalities were completed [minutes, finance etc.], there was an open discussion to establish the way forward for the Trust. As you can imagine, there was a wide range of views aired and there was some interesting debate on the the major issues.

It was agreed that the Trust needs to keep open any lines of communication it has with the Club, such as the Supporters Consultative Group, as it gives supporters their only means of input at this present time.

The new board will meet shortly to discuss strategy and to find ways to maximise it's potential on on things like recruitment, membership, PR. etc. Another meeting will be held in around 3 weeks.

The Trust needs as many members as possible for it to become a credible voice, working on behalf of the supporters of Coventry City Football Club.
