Covsupport News Service has been informed that the grounds staff at Sixfields Stadium could be employed on a part-time basis if Northampton Town are relegated to the Conference.
Northampton are understood to be going part-time if they do drop out of the Football League and the groundstaff, who do not get anything extra for looking after the pitch when Coventry City are playing, are expecting to be given part-time hours.
City have had two games called off this season at Sixfields and there are concerns that figure could increase next season if the staff become restricted in the number of hours that they can work on the pitch.
