Former Coventry City centre half Ady Williams has received a six month community order after pleading guilty to an assault charge in the old town area of Swindon in November 2008.

Williams, who was released by City in 2006 after 39 +2 sub appearances, and signed for Swindon by Dennis Wise who played with him at the Ricoh Arena, was also fined £60 costs and given sixty hours unpaid work today.

He is currently Reserve Team coach at Swindon and their board said on the official Swindon Town website: "Following completion of the legal proceedings the Club will consider its position before issuing any further statement."
