According to Coventry City's newest director Ken Dulieu, the club is looking for substantial outside investment from the Far East in an effort to alleviate their financial problems.

Dulieu is a highly successful businessman. He is the founder,  Chairman and Chief Executive of Capcon Holdings plc. The company does corporate investigations, business intelligence gathering, research and audit services. He is also a Non Executive Director of Vantis plc, the accountancy and financial services business. He was Chairman of Southampton Leisure Holdings plc until December 2007.

According to Dulieu if the club owned The Ricoh Arena it would be of great benefit in raising the profile of the club as a global brand, particularly in the Far East , Asia and the Indian Sub Continent, where the new look board is currently looking for further investment.

Dulieu was keep to point out that just because the club are looking for outside investment it doesn't mean they are trying to sell the club and insisted the Sisu are looking to remain at Coventry for the foreseeable future. He did admit though that if there was interest in buying the club, they would listen to serious offers from credible buyers.

Dulieu was asked if the club is in danger of going into administration while they are losing over £4m a year. He said the new board will continue to do all they can to ensure the club gets back on to a sound financial footing.

When questioned about the resignation of vice chairman Gary Hoffman and the subsequent revelations of divisions within the board, he insisted that the board had to be strong and that it is vital that everyone gets on with each other.

Then came the question which will probably be of more concern to the supporters of Coventry City, the question of strengthening the squad for next season. Once again Dulieu was circumspect in answering saying only that he believes successful clubs are those that buy as well as sell, but that he remains confident that Sisu will manage to take the club forward.
