Coventry City striker Robbie Simpson has said that he wants more goals.

The striker was not happy about having to start from the bench against Sheffield Wednesday but was delighted to score City's second goal in a 2-0 victory at the Ricoh Arena.

"I just want to go into the New Year and hopefully get some more goals. I've proved that I'm capable of scoring at this level and I'm delighted to have got another," said Simpson to the club website.

"I thought Besty was outstanding and I think he deserved to get on the scoresheet as well but I'm grateful for the pass he gave me and once the shot left my foot I knew it was going in.

"We've been desperate for a win like this at home so hopefully we can go into 2009 and make the Ricoh Arena a bit of a fortress."
