Coventry City striker Robbie Simpson was a happy man following his return to his former club yesterday.

Simpson got an excellent reception from both sets of supporters and told the Cambridge United's official club website http://www.cambridge-united.premiumtv.co.uk/: "It's brilliant to be back here and I got a really good reception from the fans, which was very pleasing.

"I'm happy that we've won but also happy to see how well Cambridge are playing. "You can see the new manager has come in and is trying to get them to pass the ball, and they played some lovely stuff.

"I think the speed we play, but also with composure, is the difference. "You can tell the way we move the ball; although it maybe looks like we're moving slower, the ball is moving more than we are so it looks like a slower game. But it's actually not and you could see that we wore Cambridge out a bit towards the end, although they did come back with a good spell.

"So there is a big difference, but as a Conference team I'm sure Cambridge will be up there again this season."<
