Former Coventry City manager John Sillett admitted he was impressed with City's win at Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Speaking to Covsupport at the boxing at the Sky Dome,Sillett, who admitted the win brought back memories of City's win at Old Trafford in the FA Cup in 1987 said: "I was impressed with the win at Manchester United. "We played some great football and played well from the back forward.

"The United kids were very disappointing and City's midfield got a lot of the ball. Stephen Hughes was excellent and our keeper made an excellent save to keep us in it before the Mosquito finished them off."

Meanwhile, Coventry City striker Robbie Simpson has thanked the City support for their backing at Old Trafford.

The striker whose home shirt is sponsored by Covsupport News Service told the CT: "The atmosphere and scenes of the fans was amazing and none of the boys wanted to leave the field at the end.

"The supporters were absolutely fantastic and were like a 12th man for us. They were spectacular."
