Coventry City's Jordan Shipley played for the Republic Of Ireland U21's in their 2-0 defeat away to Germany.

Shipley started the European U21 Championship Qualifying Group Five fixture in Heidenheim after playing 59 minutes of the defeat away to Israel on Thursday, against the current champions and played in a left wing position.

Germany, who had already qualified, had most of the play and took the lead in the 32nd minute through Janni Serra.with Levin Oztunali adding a second seven minutes later with a left footed strike.

Shipley worked hard, taking rare corners when they happened but could do little to prevent a defeat.
