Sherwood Retires

Tim Sherwood has announced his retirement. The midfielder who played for Blackburn Rovers ,Spurs and Portsmouth before joining the Sky Blues last season,never fully recovered from a broken leg sustain whilst playing for Pompey in December 2003. The former England international was paid off by the Sky Blues in the summer after making eleven first team appearances and is expected to continue with his work on Sky TV.

Meanwhile,Ex-City midfielder Colin Healy has had surgery on his knee and will be out for three months. He had recovered from breaking his leg in collision with Youseff Safri at Highfield Road and then broke his leg in December 2003 in a training ground accident at Sunderland. Healy missed last season but was participating in pre-season training before picking up cartilage damage in his knee.
