Sheridan: You Don't Think Coventry City Should Be Bottom Of The League

Oldham Athletic manager John Sheridan has said that he does not think that Coventry City should be bottom of the League One table.

The Sky Blues travel to Boundary Park tomorrow, eight points clear of safety and four points behind second from bottom Chesterfield and face an Oldham side which can get out of the bottom four with a victory.

A victory is in short supply for the Sky Blues who are yet to win a league game under Russell Slade and have picked up only two points from their last 39.

Speaking about the game to Oldham's club website, Sheridan said:"They are all tough games, Coventry had a good result and they are at Wembley now so they will concentrate on the league.

“They have something to look forward to now and they’ve got a really good experienced manager in the team and he will be putting belief into the players that they can get out of the position that they are in.

“You don’t think Coventry City should be bottom of the league anyway, they have got some good players but they are not winning games for some reason so we’ve just got to try and effect the game and try to take a result.”
