Sheff United In For McSheffrey

Former Coventry City striker Gary McSheffrey is wanted by Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell.

The forward has been frozen out of the starting eleven at Birmingham City and has only started one Premier League game this season under Alex McLeish. McSheffrey was sold to Birmingham City by a then a cash desperate Sky Blues for £2.325m in August 2006. 

Speaking to Sky Sports, Blackwell said: "Gary is a player I have always liked and I am keen to get more depth in my squad."

Antony Barry has left Chester City. The midfielder who played for City Reserves before being released by Micky Adams has left the club who are in financial trouble by mutual consent, just a couple of days after their manager left.

Falkirk have been linked with a loan move for Colin Healy. The midfielder has only made five appearances for Ipswich Town since joining them from Cork City

Former City loan keeper and Assistant Manager Tim Flowers is one of 50 applicaants for the vacant manager's job at Kidderminster Harriers. The position is free following Mark Yates move to Cheltenham Town.
