Richard Shaw has admitted that he was surprised when Celtic agreed to be the opponents for his testimonial.

Speaking to the BBC,Shaw who is number seven in the list of City appearances said: "I played under Gordon and I count him as one of the best, if not the best, manager I've played under - but knowing how much Celtic are in demand, I didn't imagine in my wildest dreams they'd come down.

"However, having known Gordon for six years and the respect I've got for him I thought it was ideal to ask him. I just thought 'if you don't ask you don't get' so I phoned him up and he said 'no problem'.

"I've seen Celtic a few times and the atmosphere the fans bring to grounds is fantastic. But the Coventry supporters have been great at the new stadium and both sets of fans should make it a great night."
Tickets for the game on Tuesday April 11th are available priced at £12 adults,£6 concessions.
