The 36 year old who joined City from Crystal Palace in a deal paid for by Chairman Mike McGinnity had looked at the end of this season for his benefit game which will be at the Arena, but felt that holidays would get in the way.
So,with the backing of the board,the game will be included in City's pre-season schedule.
