Richard Shaw has said that the current managerial situation is not affecting the players.

Speaking at the club's weekly press conference to club journalist Keiran Crowley, Shaw, when asked about whether the managerial situation was affecting performances, said: "No, not really. I think the players would like to know who the next manager will be.

"But I don't think it is affecting them on the pitch. I was a player and all I did was think of myself. Managers come and go but players usually just carry on with the job.

"You always keep in touch with your old managers but that is just the way it is. It didn't affect them on Sunday as we had numerous chances to win the game and had a perfectly good goal ruled out.

"I'm just carrying on with the job at hand and making sure the boys are prepared for Saturday. We had a good training session out there today and they are really up for it.

"When the players cross the white line though, it is up to them to make the right decisions at the right time."
