Second Ricoh Arena Visit For Shrewsbury

Saturday will see Coventry City taking on Shrewsbury Town for 15th time in a “home” game.

City have won eight of those meetings with five draws and one defeat which came in the Shrews only visit to the Ricoh Arena on January 1st 2013, when the visitors won 1-0.

City’s biggest win against Shrewsbury came in October 1963 and those at Highfield Road that night saw Coventry win a Third Division match 8-1.

The last time the sides met was on March 2nd 2014 at Sixfields in a very dour 0-0 draw.

The teams that day were: City: Murphy, Clarke, Webster, Seaborne, Webster, Thomas, Fleck, Moussa (Marshall 60), Petrasso, Akpom (Baker 72), Wilson. Subs: Burge, Christie, Adams, McGeouch, Daniels. 

Shrewsbury: Anyon, McAllister, Taylor, McKandawire, Parry (Jacobson 89), Goldson, Mendez-Laing (Storey 42) Woods, Eaves (Atajic 81), Mills, Hall. Subs: Weale, Grandison, Winfield,  Smith.
