Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has revealed he is trying to sign a second centre forward on loan to join Alex Nimely, who joined the Sky Blues on loan from Manchester City yesterday.

Thorn believes that  the addition of another striker will aid his side's Championship survival bid, he is also close to signing an experienced Championship left back in the hope of strengthening a leaky defence.

Thorn needs to strengthen his squad especially now as it is looking ever more likely that he will be with his leading scorer Lukas Jutkiewicz who, according to speculation, will soon join Middlesbrough after Coventry accepted their bid.

Speaking to the CT, Thorn said, “There is another boy who fits in with what I am trying to do and that would give us a lot of pace up front. It’s something I want to do because it is a different dimension.

"If I get them both then it will give me two centre-forwards who can catch pigeons, and one of them is about 8ft 6 and that’ll do me nicely.”
