Coventry City's on loan striker Freddy Sears has said he will find it difficult to run out onto Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Sears spent some time on loan at crystal Palace, before being called back to his parent club West Ham, but as Sears explained,The hammers have plenty of strikers at the moment, so he found himself available for loan again. He admitted he would have lie to return to Crystal palace, but because of their current financial state,this was not possible.
Sears said, "I went back to West Ham because they were short of forwards, played a couple of games but then the new owners came in and they bought Benni McCarthy, Mido and Elan. So they decided to send me out on loan again and I was hoping to come back to Palace. I really enjoyed my time at the club and made some really good mates there, but obviously because of the money side of things that wasn't possible. So I ended up coming up to Coventry instead."
Sears is optimistic that palace will survive in the Championship saying, "Neil Warnock is the right man for the job and he has kept things going really well, as he does. It's going to be strange lining up against some of the boys. I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing a few of the same faces but when the whistle blows I'll be doing my best for my team and that's Coventry now."
Sears had previously revealed that Bristol City had tried to sign him on loan when he became available, but as soon as he heard that Coventry were interested in him, he knew he wanted to sign for Chris Coleman, saying, "Bristol City came in at the last minute after I had spoken to Chris Coleman but as soon as Coventry were mentioned I told the gaffer I wanted to go."
