Freddy Sears, on loan at Coventry from West Ham United has spoken about life at Coventry.

Sears said,  "It has been a good start to my loan spell, picking up a couple of wins and I am enjoying working with the lads and the manager. There has been plenty of banter flying about and I am coming in with a smile every day and leaving with one."

"I am getting on well with Freddy Eastwood because he is a Southend boy and being one of two Freddies at the club the other lads have been calling me Searsy. I was getting on well with Elliott Ward before he went out on loan because he was at West Ham with me."

"He is three or four years older but I remember training with him and he’s always been known as a bit of a joker and that brightens up the place. I have been impressed with the lads and I know I can’t just walk straight in to the team, so I have got to be patient and wait for my chance to play and then take it and hopefully help push Coventry on."

"I have been in football since I was ten so I don’t know what I would be doing if I wasn’t a footballer. I suppose I would be at college or into another sport maybe. I used to play tennis, which I wasn’t too bad at. I obviously get a lot of spare time and I like my computer games."

"I have a little brother Bobby who is ten and drives me mad because he is always wanting to play against me on line, so Play Station is the main thing. I like the shooting games like Call of Duty which are pretty addictive and some days I have been on it for five hours or something."

"The lads here are all into it as well so hopefully I will take some of them on. I am quite good but my little brother is better. I like going out shopping and I like my label stuff, but sometimes I get sucked in and might buy a jacket because it has got a label even though it might not be the best choice, so I am trying not to do it so much."

"I have got another brother, Alfie, who is 17 and it is good growing up with two younger brothers even though they are always causing trouble round the house. When I am back home in Essex I have got my own place but I go round to see them nearly every day. My little brother misses me quite a bit because he just wants me to play football, whether that is on the Play Station or outside. He likes being me on the FIFA game, which is nice."

Alfie is a good tennis player and plays for a local team. He is going to university next year so he’s going down that route. Bobby has got all my shirts and he loves going into school with all his mates knowing his older brother plays for West Ham. My idol as a kid was Paolo Di Canio but now I like to watch Jermaine Defoe who I can relate to because we are a similar style of striker and it is good to see what someone like that does on the pitch."

My dad says football talent runs in the family and he used to play for his school and stuff. He’s a London cabbie and he runs me about a lot. He had to learn ‘The Knowledge’ which is a hard thing to do and takes a couple of years so he knows his way round London. He’s been doing it for a long time and enjoys it. He picked up George Best once and now and again he picks up famous people and it is nice because they talk to him as well. My mum works at Marks and Spencer and looks after my little brother."

"I am staying in hotel at the moment up here but I want to rent an apartment. My girlfriend Teri Jai has been up a few times. She does insurance work and is a swimming coach with kids as well, and home is not too far away, so everything is good at the moment."
