Scotland, Wales And Ireland Consider Bid For Euro2020

The Football Associations of Scotland, Wales and Ireland are considering a bid for the Euro 2020 Championship.

Bids are not required for the next eighteen months but the Scottish FA have issued a statement saying: "We can confirm that we have had initial discussions on the principle of a joint bid with both Wales and the Republic of Ireland and have declared our interest to UEFA in order that we can fully explore the opportunity in more detail."

Britain last staged the tournament which this year is being held in Poland and Ukraine in 1996.
