Schmeichel Jnr Finally Joins Leicester

Former Coventry City loanee keeper Kasper Schmeichel has finally signed for Leicester City.

A fee which Sky were reporting was £1.5m had been agreed between Leicester and Leeds United. Then Schmeichel announced that he did not want to leave Elland Road and wanted to fight for his place.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson was reported by one Sunday Newspaper as giving him the choice of seeing his contract out in the reserves or leaving and now Schmeichel has opted for the latter signng a three year deal.

Leicester's football director Andrew Neville is quoted as saying: "Sven knows Kasper extremely well and regards him very highly, so we're delighted to have brought him to the club. 

"He's already made a big impression both domestically and internationally and is another player at a good age for our long-term objectives.
