In the Championship, Birmingham City became joint leaders with a 2-1 win at Burnley. There were also wins for managerless Barnsley as well as Colchester,Derby,Leeds,Southampton and Stoke.

The games at Norwich,Preston and Sheffield Wednesday were drawn as was Friday's game between Wolves and Sunderland

Locally, the bad weather affecting a lot of the country caused havoc amongst the fixtures. Nuneaton's FA Trophy game at Bradford PA was postponed and rescheduled for Monday night.whilst Rugby's game at Hitchin was postponed.

Games involving Atherstone,Coventry Sphinx, Coventry Copsewood,Massey Ferguson,Nuneaton Griif, Southam, Leamington and Stockingford were all called off.

Of the games played. Bedworth lost at home to Bishop Cleeve 1-0, Leamington beat Market Dreyton 4-2 at the New Windmill, Stratford beat Quorn 3-0 , Alveston drew 0-0 at Continental Star and Coventry Sphinx Reserves won 6-3 at Chelmsley Town.
