This morning Coventry City U18's went down to a 2-1 defeat at Millwall.

In the Championship, there were wins for Barnsley,Cardiff who are now top,Burnley,Crystal Palace, Colchester and Southampton. The games at Birmingham,Derby,Sunderland and West Brom ended in draws.

Nuneaton Borough had their Conference North game at Stalybridge Celtic postponed due to electrical problems.

In the FA Cup, there were mixed fortunes for our sides. Rugby Town beat Deeping Rangers 4-1 and Stratford won 3-2 at Willenhall Town.

Unfortunately, Bedworth lost 3-1 at home to Matlock Town and Leamington who last season made it through to the FA Cup 1st round lost 1-0 at home to Rocester.

In the Alliance, Racing Club Warwick won 1-0 at Atherstone.

Coventry Sphinx remain top of the Midland Combination Premier DIvision after a 2-1 home win against Meir KA.

Southam also won, beating Brereton Social 1-0 away and Massey Ferguson left Heath Hayes with a 1-0 victory.

Coventry Copsewood were beaten 4-0 at Barnt Green, Alveston lost 3-1 at home to Brocton and Nuneaton Griff lost by the same score at home to Highgate United.

Kenilworth Town were thrashed 6-1 at home by Mile Oak Rovers in the Endsleigh Challenge Cup whilst in the First Division, Stockingford won 3-2 at Newhall whilst Leamington Hibernian drew 1-1 at West Midlands Police.

Coventry Sphinx Reserves had a good result in their third game in Division Two winning 2-1 at Worcester City A, whilst Warwick Town beat Enville 3-2 at home.
