Rumour Mill Rantings

The latest offering from the Sky Blue Rumour Mill, is that City allegedly have hushed all talk of the the protests during and after Tuesday's 4-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers to avoid any supporter protests and potential embarrassment in front of the Sky cameras at Sunday's home game with high flyers Ipswich Town.

There was no reference to the protests on either the club website or the Coventry Evening Telegraph match report and it is rumoured that this is the reason why manager Peter Reid who also had his head called for, has not publically come out in support of Steve Staunton and Tim Sherwood who were lambasted by the City supporters.

Just before the interval in Tuesday's Coca-Cola Championship game at Loftus Road, Steve Staunton reacted to comments made by some Coventry supporters with an obscenity and as Tim Sherwood was being cautioned for a second half foul on Danny Shittu, there were chants of "Off,Off,Off" from a section of the Coventry support.
