Coventry City manager Mark Robins has asked for time to do what he wants to turn around City's fortunes.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Robins said; "It's clear to me what we need to do but it is going to take time.

"That's why you ask for time as a manager and that's a commodity that comes with results. I can change personnel but its an endemic problem.

"We're under no illusion; there's no magic wand. If it was an easy job everybody would be doing it and its certainly not that.

"We had a good spell of five matches when we looked as if we were playing some decent football and turning the corner. But there is turning the corner and then there is sport - sport kicks you in the teeth at times and its done that to us over the past two games.

We've got to get back on the horse and start picking up points again. "We're working hard towards getting better."
