Coventry City Manager Mark Robins has asked the City supporters attending the home JPT game at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night against Crewe to be patient and support the team as vocally and positively as possible.

Speaking about the support which will see 29,000 City fans and only 1800 Crewe if they sell their allocation at the game, Mark Robins said to the Coventry Telegraph: “I think there was a Leeds and Manchester United game where we had 20,000 when I was at Barnsley, so this is the most.

“There are a lot of games in the Championship where you take supporters away from home and you are in a different atmosphere because the support outnumbers your own.

"That’s more of the scenario I have been used to where you have a partisan home crowd, but the boot’s on the other foot this time and we’ll have the partisan home crowd and they’ll be desperate for us to do well.

“We want them to be patient and support the team as vocally and positively as possible to try to see us into the second leg in good shape.”
