Coventry City manager Mark Robins is hoping for a big gate for the Sky Blues game against Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, the City boss said: “The numbers are swelling and to have 5,000 at Milton Keynes was absolutely incredible and having a following like that making so much noise made a hell of a lot of difference to us.

“I’m sure that they will be coming again because they have enjoyed a tremendous match, and I hope they’ve all told their mates to get themselves up to the Ricoh on Tuesday.

“It’s true that, for whatever reason, we’ve tended better in away matches but there’s no reason why, at the turn of the year, we can’t have a fresh start, a fresh impetus in the home games.

“The fans are starting to believe and that’s a great thing. They can see that a year that started off not to well has got better and better.”
