Coventry City manager Mark Robins said he was delighted for everyone as the Sky Blues earned their fifth consecutive victory with a 2-1 home win over Doncaster Rovers.
Robins told the media after the game: “I thought it was a good game, first half was really good, and I thought we played some good stuff.
“We kept them at bay really, and we had some good chances.
“We took the lead through Jordy Hiwula and another set play and the second one is a brilliant strike from Luke Thomas, which is nothing short of what he deserves with his work rate since he’s been here.
“I’m delighted for everybody really because that was a huge shift at the end of a really tough week.
“It was an amazing performance, amazing work-rate. There was a desire to win.
“When you’re in front like that you know the opposition is going to come at you, especially when you’re tired and it gives the opposition a lift and we couldn’t get a foothold in it.
“Having said that, playing on the counter attack, we probably had two or three opportunities to take the lead even further.
“We conceded a poor goal from our point of view, but I think that they probably deserved to score over the game because they created a lot of opportunities themselves in the second half.
“All things being equal, it could have been 7-4 I suppose with the chances created, but I am delighted with the three points and delighted with the application from everybody and it’s a great, great win.”
