Coventry City manager Mark Robins has been counting the cost of the defeat at Forest Green Rovers.

Not only did City lose to the Football League newcomers yet again but they had Jack Grimmer, Tom Davies and Chris Stokes all suffer injuries in the game at the New Lawn.

Speaking about Tom Davies who has broken his collarbone and could be out for six to eight weeks, Robins said to Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “We have got an issue with Tom Davies who has fractured his collar bone so that’s going to be a while.

“I think they let a collar bone heal rather than pin it but we’re probably looking at six to eight weeks, so it will be a while.”

Robins said about Jack Grimmer and Chris Stokes: “Jack has pulled his hamstring. The pitch is the same for both teams but the pitch is heavy.

“We don’t know how bad it is but he couldn’t carry on after over stretching for a tackle. But we were in wrong positions so ended up stretching for things.

“Chris Stokes also over stretched and has pulled his hamstring. We don’t know it there is a tear there but it was tight.

“He had to carry on because we’d made all our changes and he was able to see the game out for the last six or seven minutes.

“It’s been a costly afternoon in terms of injuries and bodies, and costly in terms of giving the game away.”
