Robins: As Much Relieved As Delighted

Coventry City manager Mark Robins said that the most important thing was that City won and got points on the board after the Sky Blues 2-1 victory against Oldham Athletic.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Robins said: “I’m as much relieved as delighted because with a minute to go it looked as if we had dropped two points and that would have been difficult to take because although we weren’t at our best we created a lot of chances and should have had it wrapped up long before they scored.

“It proves once again that we need to be more clinical when we are in control of games, but at least we had the character to bounce back from their goal, go upfield and win it with a real quality strike

“As ever the most important thing is that we won and with a lot of games postponed this weekend it gives us the points on the board.

"And we’ve got a week to work on some of the things we need to improve in time for a couple of tough away games at Preston and Sheffield United.”
