The striker signed from Cambridge United last season, told the CT: "I feel at the minute I need a little chance and I am chomping at the bit to make an impression.
"I am joint top goalscorer so far and I want to keep that going but I have to wait for that chance. I am confident in myself and the way I have been playing that I can take it when it comes.
"I feel like I have done pretty well," said Simpson who scored twice against Aldershot in the League Cup. "I just want to play for Coventry City no matter where it is on the pitch."
