Richard Wood Enjoying The City Banter

Coventry City loanee Richard Wood is enjoying the banter amongst the City players.

So far the City players have only come up with the name 'Woody' for the Mini driving centre half who is set to sign for the Sky Blues permanently in January in a £500,000 deal from Sheffield Wednesday.  

“I am sure they will think of something when they get to know me a bit better,” said Wood, who earned City a point at QPR yesterday to the Sunday Mercury.

“But the lads have welcomed me and I am enjoying it. There has been a lot of banter in the dressing room.

“Everyone is laughing and joking and hopefully we are turning the corner, which will make for an even better dressing room.

“Leon Best has been quite funny and we have done a lot of messing about, putting the kit man in a bucket – typical lads in a dressing room.”
