Ribeiro Quits As Port Vale Boss

Bruno Riberio has resigned as manager of Port Vale.

After the 1-0 defeat to Walsall, Riberio who had only been in charge for six months, issued a statement to the Port Vale club website which read:  "The chairman and I had a project, which sadly due to recent form left me feeling that I let the chairman, fans and club down.

"It is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation with Port Vale Football Club. I would like to wish the club all the best for the future."

Michael Brown has been put in temporary charge of the team.
