It was re-iterated that the £2 car parking charge for CCFC supporters for the Man Utd match had been made solely to cover ACL's costs in providing additional security that night, and no profit had been made by ACL out of this charge.
In response to residents concerns on recent comments about the Residents Parking Scheme, a statement from ACL and the residents group will be issued to the websites so that everyone can be reminded of the reasons behind the scheme, and how this adheres to Government guidelines.
It's also worth noting that had the scheme not been put into place then the issue would have had to have gone to a public enquiry with a major delay to the opening of the Arena and a potentially more serious issue for the football club.
Wasps rugby club have 37 coaches arriving at the Arena for saturdays match with 13 coaches so far for Munster. Over 16,000 are expected to attend and Coventry Rugby club have sold over 600 'double header' tickets (£27) also. The Jaguar halls will be open from midday up-to kick off at 5.30pm, and then after the match until 9pm.
