Reserves Could Be Demoted

City Reserves defeat by Tottenham Hotspur tonight s likely to be City's last in the FA Premier Reserve League as at a meeting in June, the current Premier League clubs are expected to vote for membership of the league being restricted only to Premiership clubs.

This has been tabled by the League Committee who feel that clubs currently outside the PL do not have enough players for Academy,Reserve and League football.

City,plus Leicester,Southampton,Ipswich,Norwich,Crystal Palace, plus Portsmouth if they are relegated from the FA Premiership, could all be forced into the Football Combination or Central League.
