Peter Reid has admitted that he has fined himself "a three figure" sum after sarcastically applauding referee Graham Law's awarding of a free kick to City during the game at Sheffield United along with the City support.

The City boss said "That's not the right example to set to the players and I've apologised to the referee and fined myself."

On the game itself,he was reasonably pleased saying: "My players worked very hard and we had to defend desperately. "You always want to get better and there's room for improvement,"

Meanwhile,City U18's put in another good performance to win 2-1 at Charlton Athletic. Kevin Thornton capped a good week with another two goals to take his tally to four in seven days. The ginger haired forward also played well for City Reserves at Arsenal.
