Peter Reid agreed with the frustration shown by City supporters as the team was booed off after the 0-0 draw against bottom of the table side Rotherham United.

He said:"The fans have every right to express their frustration. "I thought they were great for us towards the end of the game but at the final whistle we had run out of ideas and steam so I can understand where the supporters were coming from.

"As for the formation, well that's the beauty of football. Everyone has got an opinion and it's what we all like to talk about in pubs and clubs. "I can understand what they are saying but we played the same formation against West Ham and Forest and nobody was complaining then - all I could hear was cheering.

"I admit we were not too clever but I'm not going to have a go at individual players and come credit has to go to Rotherham who deserved a point.

"If there is a silver lining it's the fact that we kept a clean sheet and Luke Steele was excellent again. We took Matthew Mills on loan because Dean Leacock has picked a hamstring injury and I thought the young lad was very good at the back."
